#164: Stress and Rest

Today is a day I have to live on purpose. I know everyday is supposed to be a day on purpose, but today I must be careful to do nothing… And do that intentionally.

Yesterday I got a new PR for my 5k time but I wasn’t happy because I was losing time with each mile. My ego says to me, “you could have done better, get out there this morning and prove it!”

But my head knows that anything I do today would be what Galloway calls junk miles. My legs need time to heal from yesterday. Stress the legs, then rest the legs.

So today, my goal is to do nothing… Like Bruno Marrs’ The Lazy Song… Nothing at all!
