Several weeks ago I got this email from The Chrome team:

So – I clicked the link, answered a few questions, and left this 140 character response to this question: What would make you a unique Pilot user?
I’m a 300lb runner, training 4 a marathon, losing weight using technology, like my android phone 2 track workouts & a blog 2 doc the journey
I’m not sure if my tweet style answer (the 140 character limit was required by Google) had anything to do with being one of the lucky people to receive the CR-48 Google Chrome Laptop or not, but today without any warning, I got a brand new absolutely free laptop from Google!!!
This is the first blog entry I’ve created since I powered this awesome device up. This isn’t a tech blog – so I’m not going to detail out the 2gig of ram or the 16 gig solid state drive, or the extremely long battery life (over 8 hours for sure). I’m not going to bore you with details about how light weight it is or that it comes with a FREE wireless 3g data plan from Verizon for two years! No, I’m just going to say Google – if you are listening – THANK YOU!
I won’t be quiting this week… :o)
